
About Beng Huan:
Mr Tey Beng Huan is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist (UK) and a Senior Associate of MindThrv Asia. He is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, a Registered Psychologist and Registered Supervisor with the Singapore Register of Psychologists, and a certified occupational test user and delegated assessor listed on the BPS Registry of Qualified Test Users.
Beng Huan holds a Master’s degree in Occupational Psychology (UK), a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology (Australia), and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology (Australia). Beng Huan’s work focuses on the practical application of behavioural science to organisational capability, leadership development, and workplace wellbeing. He specialises in translating psychological research into evidence-based tools that organisations can use to make better decisions about people, leadership, and performance. His areas of expertise include psychological assessment, talent evaluation, behavioural insights, learning design, and organisational capability development.
Drawing on expertise in personality, cognitive ability, motivation, creativity, and team dynamics, Beng Huan designs and delivers applied assessment and development frameworks that support leadership effectiveness, team performance, and talent development. His work frequently involves the integration of psychometrics, behavioural science, and adult learning design to develop practical solutions for organisations.
At the Centre for Applied Behavioural Sciences at Temasek Polytechnic, Beng Huan leads and contributes to behavioural insights projects across both internal and external partnerships. His work spans assessment framework design, leadership and team development initiatives, behavioural science interventions, and professional education programmes. A significant part of his role involves translating behavioural science research into accessible tools and programmes for leaders, managers, and professionals.
Earlier in his career, Beng Huan worked in counselling and psychological services across multiple institutional settings. His experience includes rehabilitation programmes with the Singapore Prisons Service, student and staff counselling in tertiary institutions, and employee assistance programmes supporting staff wellbeing in multinational corporations and statutory boards. This background informs his integrated approach to organisational effectiveness, psychological wellbeing, and human performance.
Beng Huan contributes to the advancement of the profession through service to the Singapore Register of Psychologists, where he represents the field of Industrial and Organisational Psychology. He also served for ten years as a volunteer Military Expert with the Singapore Armed Forces Defence Psychology Department, advising units including the Centre for Leadership Development, the Leadership Resilience Program, and the Behavioural Science Division on leadership, resilience, and applied behavioural science.
